By making a booking with Explore Paradise Ltd, you accept the following terms and conditions:
Explore Paradise Ltd believes in safety first. Your driver / guide has a current first aid certificate and carries a first aid kit at all times. Please inform us if you have any medical conditions that may require assistance on any of our tours.
We reserve the right to cancel or change itineraries should we feel that adverse weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control make proceeding with the tour a safety issue. In the unlikely event of cancellation after payment has been received, a full refund or an alternative date will be given. General weather conditions ie: cloudy or tending to showers, are not considered adverse and therefore no refund will be given.
If, in the opinion of your guide, your mental / physical condition appears to affect your ability to care for yourself or causes you to became a hazard to yourself or other passengers, you will not be permitted to start or continue on the tour. Explore Paradise Ltd will not be liable to you for any costs associated with such a decision and there will be no refund of tour costs.
Children under 7 must be restrained in an approved child restraint. Adults are responsible for the behaviour of any child in their care including the use of approved restraints. We recommend that you provide your own seat for your child. Explore Paradise Ltd may be able to rent one subject to availability. You will need to advise us at the time of booking. Note this will be an additional charge. We reserve the right to terminate the tour if you do not have the appropriate restraint or have not made provisions with us. Should this situation arise no refund will be given.
We ask that you carry any valuables on your person. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
For the comfort of the driver and other passengers, there is no smoking in or immediately outside of our vans.
PICK UP AND PAYMENT
Pickup from your accommodation in Whitianga township is no charge. Pickup from an address outside of town can be arranged but may incur additional charges. Please let us know at time of booking where you would like to be picked up from.
For custom tours a 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking with the balance to be paid within 2 days of your tour. Payment can be made by internet banking or Visa or Mastercard credit / debit card. For tours booked within 24 hours full payment can be made by cash, credit / debit card. Please note payments made by credit card will incur an additional 3.9% surcharge. We do not accept Dinner Club or American Express.
Prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars and include 15% GST
CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMER
Should you need to cancel your tour, 100% of the fees paid will be refunded providing cancellation is made up to 14 days prior to the tour. Cancellation with less than 14 days notice prior to the tour will result in refund of 50% of fees paid. There will be no refund if cancellation is made within 24 hours or if you fail to show up on the day. Dates may be transferred subject to replacement date availability
CANCELLATION BY EXPLORE PARADISE LTD
If we are forced to cancel your tour for reasons beyond our control ie: extreme weather, road closures, we will refund any fees paid.
Some of our tours include the services of independent third party providers. Although we have added some of these extra services to our tours, they are not employees of Explore Paradise Ltd and as such we are not responsible for the conduct of these independent providers. Depending on your tour, activities may include hiking and swimming. You accept and assume the risk involved with these activities.
Explore Paradise Ltd accepts no responsibility for any illness, injury, death, loss (including loss of enjoyment), damage, delay (including mechanical breakdown) beyond our control.
EXPLORE PARADISE SAFETY GUIDELINES
Please take the time to read the following:
What to bring:
Food (for energy) Sunblock, sun hat, water, a jacket in case the weather turns cold / wet and appropriate walking shoes. Please note that jandals are not appropriate footwear for a number of the walks that we do
Some walks may offer the opportunity of a swim in sea or river. We will let you know of these so you can bring swimwear and a towel.
Ensure you have any medication that you require and let your driver know of any serious medical condition or allergies.
We will have a cooler in the van for food and drinks.
What to do:
We will be going in the bush or on beaches. There are natural hazards ie; tree roots, uneven ground, holes, steep drop offs and overhanging branches. There might be streams to walk across and slippery surfaces. Please watch your footing and take care. The walking track may have very steep areas. Please keep to the track and ask your guide for assistance if required
Please respect your environment, this includes no tree climbing or removing flora or fauna. If the walk includes bush, you will be required to clean your shoes before and after the walk to help prevent the spread of Kauri dieback. Please don’t drink the water from the rivers or streams.
If swimming, please do not go out of your depth as there can be strong currents and undertow or hidden rocks under the surface.
There are public restrooms on the journey and your driver can stop at the nearest when required.
Your driver will give you a briefing of the area and hazards at the start of each walk.
